What's so special about being an Au Pair in Russia?
We believe staying in a family and working in it as an Au Pair is a wonderful opportunity for many to be able to experience the country from inside. It is certainly something new and different to discover it.

A few tips that might be helpful in planning your future Au Pairing:

• Russia is much cheaper than other European countries
• Russia certainly is much safer, than it is often thought: In many of the cities one can safely walk late at night or early in the morning in the down town area
• people in Russia are generally shy, but really hospitable and kind

What leisure activities can I expect?

Learn about Russia, its people and traditions, have fun improving your knowledge of the language in the company of russian students

What duties will I carry out?
The daily work depends on the lifestyle of the host family and entails the normal household duties:

• Caring for the children, playing with them, supporting their creative hobbies, checking homework
• Helping with minor household duties, shopping.
• Spending time with a child/children (usually aged from 2 till 13) at least 30 hours a week.
• Preparing simple meals

What expenses will I bear?

1. Airfare: to be covered by the applicant (we may assist in locating discounted tickets if necessary), 250-800 USD round trip one year tickets depending on the origin of the flight and the destination in Russia
2. Train/Plane fare in Russia. Check our 'Tickets' section for a rough quotation
3. Minor daily expenses: 70 EUR a month
4. Application and placement fee: 150 EUR
5. Visa support papers: from 29 USD
6. Visa application fee: check with the nearest Russian diplomatic post

Formalities:

Svezhy Veter will forward you the relevant paper work required for the visa as soon as your placement is confirmed and the appropriate payment in full has been received

What is the application deadline and the period of residence?
Application deadline:
the application fee and the original application are to be received 8 weeks prior to the time of intended placement.

Application documents include:
- application form (obtainable through Svezhy Veter)
- at least two positive references (from your former employer or teacher)
- detailed CV
- three passport photos
- several personals photo (3 -5) demonstrating you in your regular environment
- medical certificate not older than 3 months/ Police certificate
- a copy of your driving licence (recommended but not required)

Period of Residence

Maximum period of stay: one year
Minimum period of stay: one month

What does the family guarantee?
- free lodging (your own room and use of the other common rooms)
- full board (including your day off and when the family is away)
- medical, accident, (third party) insurance
- spare time to attend language courses and/or cultural events
- one full day off per week
- pocket money: 50-200 EUR per month depending on the family and location in Russia
- being with family on the base of the agreement
- family relocation under the mentioned circumstances

Are there special requirements?
Your eligibility:

- 18-55 years of age
- possession of child care experience, supported by recommendations and/or other evidence
- one of the major world languages being a mother tongue in the order of familiess' preferences
